This is a great Japanese green tea with a great nutty flavour and very soothing. It's a nice alternative to gunpowder style teas or genmaicha.

I like hojicha tea very much the toasted flavour is very relaxing.

The first time I had hojicha tea was in a Japanese tea garden and I loved it. It had a delicious nutty taste that wasn't overwhelming. I bought your Hojicha hoping to recreate that experience and I suppose it's possible your Hojicha is identical to the one I had but it just never lives up to the first time I had it. The nutty smell seems a little over the top and the flavour is too strong. For other maybe start with a sample first before committing to more to make sure you like it.

I'm not sure how I ever lived without this tea in my life. The first time I tried it I wasn't impressed but over time it grew on me and now I can't live without it. It's like genmaicha in that it needs time for the flavours to develop and make sense to you.
